SF Credit Scene

Hi all - Does anyone know which credit shops have offices in SF? HF, PC/DL (more than just an bd/sourcing), CLO, Special Sits, venture debt? Trying to move to west coast and trying to figure out who’s out there.

Sixth Street, HPS, Monroe, Golub, Blackstone, Benefit Street, Alliance Bernstein, angel island, Orix, silver point all have DL in SF I think. Maybe KKR as well not sure and don't know abt origination vs underwriting.

I believe Blackstone Credit's SF office is actually mostly just their systematic strategies group (lookup their acquisition of DCI)

pretty sure Onex in SF is opportunistic credit. and from what I understand from phone calls with the Sixth Street fundamentals team, they're focused on special situations investments, primarily credit, but can span both credit/equity. we spent alot of time talking about avaya and some other special sits debt opps, and most of their guys/gals came from other credit shops.
