Dating a Forex Coach

So I am a 29-year old investment banker at a BB in NYC and have a question that I’m slightly embarrassed to ask.

I recently matched with this girl on a dating app and have a date scheduled after we had a video call already.

She is literally 11/10 - looks absolutely amazing, supermodel looks.

She is also the single most compatible person I’ve ever matched with in terms of background, beliefs, life goals, etc. (among many other things, she grew up in the same small town on the West Coast where I hope to move back to one day - had one hometown friend who knew her years ago confirm she’s a nice person).

There’s one problem with her… her job is forex/bitcoin coach. Her social media promotes it and it looks sketchy to anybody who properly works in finance. Tai Lopez & MLM vibes.

I have no idea what her business model is - at best it’s quite questionable marketing, whether it’s borderline or actually illegal I have no idea. My best guess is she's earning some referral fees from some trading platform, whether that trading platform is just charging fees or possibly fraudulent I would have no clue.

She has a university degree but no proper finance experience - neither education nor work. She uses her real first and last name (confirmed by friend it’s real) on social media and there are a number of her profiles on each of the big social networks - I don’t know whether she has multiple accounts on each with same exact name or whether somebody created fake additional accounts impersonating her.

I have no idea what to do? Should I cancel the date or not? If I see her in person what should I ask her? Should I play dumb or should I ask pointed questions? What’s a personal risk of me getting to know her or associating with her?

Yes, I would typically just move on in a case like this, but this time I’m hoping this is not as bad as it could be. Willing to take some risk, but not sure how much risk there is.

Serious responses only.
