You can just say that you were interested and that's why you minored in it. 

Minors aren't really that important in my opinion, unless it's interesting to me personally. And I wouldn't know if you kept it off your resume. 

I wouldn't make this decision before you even get into school. Take an intro class to see if you like it and keep the option open.

Just make sure you get great grades - that's what counts. 

 

lots of traditional finance firms are looking into blockchain more and more over the past couple years. I dont think it would be frowned upon at all
