Recent grad looking to transition from crypto to IB?

Hey guys,

I graduated in May from a non-target school (but with a 4.0 and First-Ranked) in Finance and Blockchain. I interned at a crypto startup for a year and took a job with an index company to build a crypto project around their product, but with how crypto’s going, they’ve decided to sideline this. Thankfully, I was able to stay on as an analyst for the index, but it’s really not going anywhere.

I’ve been considering a move to IB, but I’m not having much luck, given my lack of experience. Of course, my timing is pretty bad too. I’ve been doing some networking, but there’s not much going on where I live, so it’s a small network. Ideally, I want to get a few years of experience and return to crypto eventually.

I’ve been wondering if it would be worth it to go back to school for a Master’s in Finance for a year. My timing is also off here, so I would either need to cram for the GMAT or apply to places that don’t require it.

I would really appreciate any thoughts/ feedback. Open to any ideas. Thanks!
