What is Harmony(ONE)?

Introduction

An open blockchain called Harmony (ONE) offers platforms and toolkits for Internet-of-Things (IoT) transactions, interactive fair games, high-volume decentralized exchanges, and Visa-scale payment systems.

Core Features

1.Fully scalable: Harmony not only fragmentes network communication and transaction validation like Zilliqa, but also fragmentes the blockchain state. This makes Harmony a completely scalable blockchain.

2.Fast and Efficient Consensus: Harmony is built on PoS, which requires less energy than other sharding-based blockchains that need PoW to choose validators. A linearly scalable BFT technique that is 100 times quicker than PBFT achieves consensus.

3.Scalable network infrastructure: RaptorQ wellcode allows Harmony to quickly propagate blocks within shards or between networks using adaptive information distribution algorithms. Harmony also handles Kademlia routing to provide a cross-shard transaction that scales logarithmically according to the number of shards.

What is ONE?

ONE is the native asset of Harmony. It is essential to the fundamental economy of the Harmony ecosystem and users may use ONE to:

  • Pay for platform transaction fees, gas fees
  • Obtain voting shares by staking and participate in voting
  • Deposit the tokens to become validators and earn rewards

How to buy ONE?
