Affordable Dress Shoes / Dress Pants Recommendations

Hi all,Any recommendations on dress shoe brands and companies to look at for pants that are less casual than Lulu Commission pants?

Not going to have to wear a suit to the office every day, however will be required to wear a shirt / dress pants. Currently lost on what brands to look at and what types of pants (have never been in the office unfortunately, all roles have been WFH). From my understanding, Lulu Commissions would be too casual.

Looking to save as much as possible - would greatly appreciate some input

Even if you’re not wearing a suit, you can’t go wrong with suit pants. Make sure they fit, but they look far better and more professional than khakis, and they are also much more comfortable imo. Can get cheaper options at any stores like Macys, Jcrew, etc. as mentioned above

It's sale season. Go to Mr. Porter and ssense and filter for trousers. Look for NN07, Mr. P, Norse Projects, Officine Generale. These sites offer free returns. I'd also suggest looking at Kamakurashirts-they ship to the US and used to have a store in NY, but returns are costly so you'd really want to know your sizing first before you order a pair of pants

With shoes, it's a bit more difficult. You should look at something like a goodyear welted shoe or blake stitched shoe because these offer more longevity as you can go to a cobbler to the replace the sole while on a lot of other shoes like Doc Martins, Cole Haans etc. the shoe sole is glued which means you are out of luck basically when the sole wears off. I'd look at Meermin, which has a store in NY.
