Affordable set of clothes for college student?

Hi,

I'm an incoming college freshman and I'm thinking about getting some formal clothes for my interviews and internships. On the budget, how many of each garment (shoes, suits, collared shirts, etc) should I get and what are some good brands for affordability and quality?

And is a watch really a requirement?

What city are you in?

Nordstrom mens shop has some decent shirts for $30 and better shirts for $40-60 on sale. Calibrate brand tends to be good quality and has nice items. Their has nice oxfords for $50 right now. They run a bit big length wise but normal width wise. Nordstrom rack has good shoes too, occasionally.

Charles tyrwhit has some good shirts too @ $30-33.

I'd check out some MTM suit places in your city.

Check out Macy's too, they are trying to liquidate a ton of inventory and are having frequent sales.
