Are the Dockers D1's too casual for Business Casual?

It's an equity research internship at a BB if that changes anything. Are those acceptable or are they generally looking for something dressier?
C'mon bro, you'll be making 15k at least...you can splurge a little on some Brooks Brothers slacks.
I'd say so. You're an intern, so as long as you look decent, no one really cares. But you'd probably want to upgrade for FT.
They're certainly acceptable. I'd probably stick mostly to darker colors though I do know guys in ER at BBs who wear khakis.
Last summer for my SA I picked up a few pairs of Michael Kors dress pants at Century 21 (assuming you'll be in NY). They look really nice, fit well, and are around the same price as your Dockers but are far dressier. Please don't go spending over $100 on a pair of pants as an intern. It's depressing to see interns fall to such pressure re: fashion.
