Blazer/Sport Coat for conferences

I've tried a host of different suits, had them tailored, and still can't find any that fit comfortably. The jacket is fine but the pants are always too tight. I have a pretty slim waist relative to the rest of my body which creates this unfortunate scenario where my pants are either hell on earth to wear, or they look way too bulky for my stature. I'm sure a suit that was tailored for me from scratch would feel great but I also don't want to spend $1,500+.

For those of you attending sell-side equity conferences, do you think black trousers with a nice blazer or sport coat would look out of place? Virtually everyone wears a suit and the few people who rock a nice blazer are very senior looking PMs. I am not senior and I am also not a PM.
