Do you get multiple pairs of pants for one suit? Incoming FT Anlayst
Obviously you're wearing a shirt with pants more often than the full suit, but you can't really wear non-suit pants with your shirt because you'd have to change back into the full suit if something came up.
So assuming your suit pants wear out faster than the suit jacket itself, does this mean most analysts have two pairs of the same matching suit pants for their jacket or do they just buy more entire suits? Thanks
Yeah cop some Patagonia to switch the drip up too
ok
Yeah i bought an extra pair just in case because dress pants fit weird comparde to standard jeans
No. The finer the fabric the less it will be worn out aka matte/lustre fabric.
Unless you are washing your suit pants straight in the hamper it will wear it out quicker. Use a laundry bag/shoe bag. Suit pants are slim and require less force to get the grimy and dirty stuff out. Meaning more fragile.
Iron with a iron cover to avoid “shining” the pants. Recommend the routine of hanging suit pants asap when getting home. Require less ironing and you really only have to wash it once 2 days if you just sitting around in the office. If you shit yourself that’s another problem go wash it then.
Suit pants should lasts the same time as suit jackets (except the buttocks part it will wear out a tad bit faster if you sit often on carpets/canvas chairs).
And don’t wear pants that are too tight. It will stretch fabric and wear your stuff even out faster. An expensive looking suit and pants should have that “drape”.
If you are really worried about chalking the stuff if your washing machine has a high level of minerals. I recommend trying to wash your suit and pants together so they colour match the wear process. Or just find a pH balancer for washing machine water. Or if you can really pull it off. Wear pinstripe.
I would heavily say yes get the extra pair. Your pants deal with a lot more corrosion on your Herman Miller chair than any other part of your suit and sometimes that can result in a tear or a loose fabric around the crotch which you don't want (albeit this after heavy getting wrecked as analyst). You'd rather have the back-up pair than having to go to a client meeting when your pants are torn from use - which happened to me lmao
