Dress shirts for hot weather
Any recommendations for dress shirts that breathe/are good for hotter weather? Am hoping to not sweat buckets over my summer internship

(1) In general, the main thing to consider is fabric. You want to look for lighter weight, open weave, fabrics. Most linens you’ll find outside of bespoke/custom will be like this. However, you need to be a little careful. A lot of these types of fabrics, especially linen, will wrinkle in a way that you’d probably rather not have in IB/PE/etc. With that being said, if you know how to care for your shirts, this would be somewhat less of an issue.
(2) Now to provide you a more concrete example of something worth considering. The “Baird McNutt Irish Linen Dress Shirt” from Proper Cloth could be a good fit for what you are describing. You can order swatches of the 4 options and for relatively cheap before buying so you can check to see if this fabric is actually something you’d like. It is also made-to-measure so, as long as you can get your measurements taken, it will have the most important feature, it will fit you properly.

Do you by any chance have any knowledge of the dress shirts used in Saudi/UAE? Some friends are from there and they mention the dress shirts they sell there are incredible for hot weather but due to how hot it is shirts need to be thrown out after 2-3 months anyways

I’m a fan of Charles Tyrwhitt Non-iron 3 for $99 deal. It gets the job done and looks nice. You can get thinner styles and adjust collar styles and spend a little more on some but it’s super easy to wash them and dry them too never ironed and they look fine.
I prefer Mizzen+Main. They are all dri fit, stretchy, and machine washable. Pretty much all I wear.
Mizzen & Main is the only way to go.
