Female winter office footwear
Ladies, what shoes do you wear to the office during winter time? It's very cold for regular heals. Do you just wear sneakers/boots and change once indoors? Have you managed to style boots with suits and other office wear? I would appreciate any tips!
There have to be better places to post this topic than WSO... It is kind of funny, though. I will give you a SB for having a good sense of humor.
WSO is actually the best. All I could find elsewhere is advice from women working in more relaxed fields. Their outfit suggestions aren't great for lawyers, bankers... ;)
Black boots, knee-high boots, and occasionally black Timberlands. Black booties and knee-highs will go with just about anything
Knee-high boots and Timberlands in the office? Wouldn't that look not so professional?
Heeled leather ankle boots. they're decently warm and gives you a bit of height if you have to walk on snow. one wipe and you're office-ready
What type of trousers do you pair those boots with? I don't think it goes with suits.
make sure to buy a pair that is more synched by the ankles, that way if you wear a pair of trousers, the top of the boot doesn't poke through - you could totally get away with wearing that underneath a paid of trousers.
Get a pair that's all leather, so it doesn't look bulky
Aquatalia's are my favorite since they're water proof, Ferragamo also makes some nice ones

Hahaha wrong place wrong time.
Just keep a small shoe closet under your desk with like 5-10 pairs of shoes. Wear whatever boots you want on the subway depending on that days weather.

Depends on what garment you pair it with.
Very long elegant trousers that cover the feet >> pointy boot, rest is hidden anyway and it elongates the leg
Long skirt / flowy dress >> knee-high leather boots
On a Friday in the UK: thin dark blue pants >> riding boots for an equestrian style.
Keep a bunch of heels under your desk so you can swap if you need to see a client or management.
+tip: I have ballerina-shaped black slippers that I only wear under my desk when noone sees and the guys turn on the aircon
Really recommend keeping a pair of comfy loafers and heels at your desk for whenever you have meetings with clients. Otherwise, I wear leather ankle heel boots to the office during the colder months (mine are called the Sam Edelman Regaen Bootie and they're great).
