look if you have fantastic personality it doesn't even matter since they be blind to whatever you wear only the most important rule is look presentable meaning well cut hair, clean face ( no acne or scars), tight fit cloths, and absolutely no TATTOEs on anywhere seeable

Yeah what the fuck do you suggest I do with my acne? I guess I'm doomed and will never work at an IB. (You are a moron)

Don't wear loafers to an interview. I had this dilemma when interviewing as well. I actually have a nice pair of dressy ferragamos (pregiatos) and the same pair of gucci loafers home boy LeDouche wore in WS2 (that I would never consider wearing to work, no matter what the occupation). Ended up wearing ferragamo oxfords. Honestly, lace ups tend to look good even while working, not just for a first impression interview.

if you're comfortable in your outfit and you look presentable, then wear the shoes. in other words, don't think twice about wearing a pair of ferragamos that can be bought for the same price as a pair of AEs at an outlet mall because you think they might be too "flashy". just don't come screeching into the parking lot dressed like gordon gekko in your red porsche (a la bill lumbergh) on interview day and you'll be fine.
