Hirevue attire

I'm in the middle of nowhere ridding out quarantine working remote for the summer, and am completing a hirevue. I had 48 hours from the application close to complete the hirevue, but the nicest thing I have with me is a golf shirt, and have no way to get a shirt and tie before the time expires. What should I do? Will I be auto dinged?

To be honest I am very curious as to why. Most people would tell you that the very fact that you don't have a suit already means you shouldn't get the job. On the other hand, if you do have a valid excuse, you should try to email HR as soon as possible and hope they understand. Otherwise just try to find a good blazer (borrow it, I guess) and hope for the best.

I never said that you would get dinged. The issue at this point isn't about getting dinged. You can call me a hardo for this but at the end of the day the field is pretty competitive (which you obviously know). Once you actually reach a person, they will probably wonder why you are only wearing a golf shirt.
