How should trousers break?
After a good amount of time in corporate America, I'll be heading back to business school this fall. My current employer has fairly relaxed business casual standards, and I've taken advantage of that by wearing shorter pants that showcase my sock game.
Do investment banks frown upon this and prefer a more traditional trouser break (showing no sock while standing), or is this something that wouldn't be a problem?
PANTS should not be worn under any circumstances.
depends on firm. if you are going to go with a short break, make sure the pants are well tapered.
Little to no break - in regards to the socks it really depends on the firm
Massive break from cuffed, double-pleated pants that makes your ankle area look like a curtain from a theater fell off and bunched up on stage
think that most investment firms will frown upon the short, no break look that will show socks. Just not professional enough in my opinion!
