ops? birkenstocks and hawaiian shirts are definite must-haves in your new wardrobe
Ask HR about the dress code, buy stuff based on what they tell you as an approximation and wear a suit the first day just to be sure. Then just adapt to what you see people wearing around the office. Don't spend a fortune on clothes though, BO/MO type jobs don't usually place much emphasis on your wardrobe.
Be sure to only buy dress shirts in deep colors, such as burgundy, black, and teal.
Second this. Also, hawaiian shirt friday.
Would greatly appreciate any input as well. Starting there July 16th, but in an FO role. Will be at 1285 Americas office if that helps.
in all seriousness, dress slacks, dress shirt no tie (ctshirts.com), nice shoes
moves from bo/mo to fo can happen, but dressing like a douche won't get you there. keep it conservative, but make sure everything fits. IMO, I prefer to buy a little cheaper brand and then take it to my tailor if I'm not buying custom. obviously custom is the way to go but if you don't have 150+ to blow on shirts, buying something that's 40-70 and paying $10 for tailoring will look a lot better than other interns who bought ill-fitting stuff off the rack.
Do you know what the dress code would be like for an FO role?
Suit and tie, dress shoes. All of them in conservative cuts and colors and tailored to get the fit right. For more information, use the searchbar.
I do not I don't work on the street. I'd imagine it's shirt tie slacks no coat. Or if you wear a suit don't wear the jacket around the office. I'd use search function or visit front office and see what people are wearing.
