single breasted cuffed pants no pleats and a vest is always nice plus monogramed cufflinks a slight whispers of the best cologne like stetson black and just the slightest whisper of body odor yummy but ay no homo

silk tie solid color or basic pattern but not too busy I had no comment on hankechiefs if your in the mood to look really old school like the bankers from mary poppins a flower in the lapel each day is also nice

Suit supply is a little too fashion-y in my opinion- would be a good for social situations. Also runs very slim and they won't break up the pants and the jacket to get you to the sizes you need.

If you have the time I'd highly recommend MySuit. Only negative is that it is a 3 week process.

Man, the business world in America just hates fashion. I don't know what's going to happen when I'm in a full time role at a bank or fund and rocking fashionable clothing but I'm not going to change a bunch because my slacks are a "little slim." I rock british tan captoe shoes with slim Boss trousers and a blue shirt all day in my business casual world and no one ever says a thing besides occasional compliments. Black shoes and pleated charcoal pants with cuffs and jackets where you can fit a stack of pitchbooks in without any noticing make me cringe.

the last time Ive seen a white man look cool in a double breasted suit is "Window Shopper" video by 50 cent but even then he didn't have no girlies he was standing outside a hotel smoking like a lame thats waiting for his friend to get laid by both girls that came to the room for both of them.

And not sure how people can wear all these skinny/slim type clothing. I do like my suits and shirts to fit, but I also go to the gym and workout...I can't fit one leg into skinny pants

The colors in that picture are enriched and embellished. Click on one of the other, smaller pictures and you can see it in a more subdued fashion. The suit looks amazing and that guy knows how to pull it off.

But then again, you are a 22 year old analyst, not some baller. Just get a plain navy suit and be done with it. Go to JCrew or JBanks, whatever. Find a good tailor, all that matters.

Gilt had a bunch of 100% wool Joseph Abound suits for like 300 bucks. Throw another $100 down to have it fit appropriately (slight break in the pants, 1/4 to 1/2 an inch of your cuff showing, tapered waist with a curve for your lower back). Go take the savings and buy some Fifth Ave from Allen Edmond's, a nice fitting shit and you are set.

Suit Supply is by far the best quality per dollar spent you're going to find in your price range. There's nobody saying you need to look like a clown -- they have conservative cuts in conservative fabrics. If you're in NY, I recommend visiting the brick and mortar store down in Soho.

That said, as a brand new analyst you could probably get away with wearing shit for your first year or two as long as it's dark navy or charcoal shit.

I just got my indochino essential navy suit via FedEx today. It looks really good and the material nice. I need two alterations but they cover up to 75$ of alteration costs. If it can't be altered they remake it for you.

At your price point, get a made to measure suit.

Sure you can buy an off the rack suit from some fashion (overpriced, buying the label not the quality construction) brand and have it tailored, but it will never fit as well as a one made specifically for your measurements.

MTM wso/">suits offer you a certain degree of customization (mind you that you won't have control over every detail as with a bespoke suit) but most shops will give you control over the lapels, buttons, button stance, functional cuffs, pocket style, inside lining, etc.

For $500-900, would you rather have a well made fully canvassed suit made of quality material how you want it fit, or would you rather pay the same amount to try to make an off the rack suit fit you, often sacrificing quality construction and materials. Easy choice.

Two extra points - I've found that made to measure wso/">suits make me more conscious of keeping in shape because I know if I let myself go, I'm going to look like shit in it and have to lay out extra cash to get another suit made for my fat body. Second point, it's a good way to get your feet wet in custom wso/">suits, prepping for that day when you'll get that bespoke Savile Row suit when you're a BSD.

Never used them, but some people on my floor swear by My.Suit. I know they have a store in Herald Square.

I brought my suit to the tailor and she was like, "woah you look like model!" Indochino.

Is SuitSupply biased to uber slim fitting suits? Not that I want to be sloppy or anything but I'm not an extra slim by any means.
