I know this is a long shot since most people here will not be from Asia but is there anyone on this forum that happens to know a good tailer located in Singapore? I need 2 new tailor made suits and even though there are a lot of tailors here (many of whom are small Chinese stores), it's important that the suits are of decent quality (which is not guaranteed with many of these small tailor shops).

What's your budget? You're much better off going to HK/BKK etc especially for a large ticket purchase. There are a lot of cheap tailors in Penninsula Plaza which are all pretty horrible especially for the price relative to HK/BKK. I think clothesmith on Boat Quay or Dylan & Son at Lau Pa Sat are popular with the younger finance crowd and can offer acceptable materials/quality but at a pretty high price for what it is.
WW Chan in Hong Kong and Shanghai is excellent. They probably have a Singapore location, but I am not sure.

289 designs at MBK in Bangkok does a great job... not Singapore but Bangkok alone is worth a visit.
Agree as the Sikh tailors in Thailand do great work at much less cost than HK. Take a long weekend to Phuket (Sp?) and have a few suits made there.....good value and if you stay a few extra days you can get a fitting done mid-production.
Another benefit of 289 is that they keep your measurements on file and do free shipping around the world so you can get suits sent to you wherever you are (Singapore, NYC, etc). I plan on having them send me a couple dress shirts before I start work soon. Gonna be SWAG.
Thanks for the responses. I will be going to Bangkok within 2 months so I can definitely check that out. My price preference is very much dependent on the quality of the suit. If I can get a great suit I am willing to pay a good deal of money. I am mostly looking for high value for money but the suit needs to be at least of decent quality. I am going to check out the places you guys named. Thanks!
