Nothing More Prestigious Than Barbour

It's 2024, only the plebs in Canary Wharf/Houston/San Francisco are wearing Patagonia and other outdated attire. For the aristocrats in Mayfair/Salt Lake City/Wall Street, Barbour is the only way to go.

Arcteryx is the only right answer. Barbour is not waterproof at all which you'll come to find is actually quite important in London.

Obviously this all comes down to personal preference, and I understand the heritage associated with Barbour but I honestly think it's an unnecessarily glorified brand. It had it's day and that day has passed. I know we're comparing apples and oranges with Arc v Barb but I honestly think Arcteryx is a better choice if you're not a complete Barbour fanboy.

The quality on Arcteryx is ridiculously good and definitely warmer + better in the rain.

I'd have to disagree here - I don't think it's been destroyed by that cohort yet unlike Moncler and Canada Goose. Whilst Arc is much more mainstream than Barbour I don't think it's chavvy.

Barbour is great. I love my quilted jacket for spring/fall. I also have the green wax but tbh .. don't like it too much. Don't really know why but it makes me look kind of old / out of style. Also sometimes looks slightly casual when worn to clients/office.
