Pick-stitching on lapel for Summer Associate

Incoming IBD Summer Associate at a bulge bracket. Went to My.Suit and got a dark navy blue suit with pick-stitching on the lapel. Is this acceptable? See below for a sample picture.

Can confirm - his offer has been pulled. You really think My.Suit doesn't send us daily reports on the whereabouts of who buys pick-stitched suits? How naive.

Only if it contrasts properly - i.e. yellow on white with green pinstripes. Don't forget to have your undergrad gpa embroidered on your jacket pocket. Naturally, if you are cool enough, you can opt for Latin honors instead.

Only two sources I trust, Glenn Beck and singing woodland creatures.

You see HBS would need to be like a biker vest. HBS across the top of the back and PE on the bottom. 1% patch somewhere in there. The rest of us should just have our GPA, maybe SAT score on the front pocket.

This. This is why I come to WSO - for the nuanced gold nugget bits of advice that you'll never find elsewhere. @OP, I believe you're an MBA student, in which case you shouldn't be asking stupid 'undergrad' level questions on this forum. You've already screwed up by buying a pink stitched suit. The only way you can compensate for this is to have the firm's logo emblazoned across the back.
