Shoes for Casual Friday

I'm looking for something that I could wear at work (casual Friday) and on days off as well...

I think I like these, but any advice on which of these are more versatile (ie, could match with almost anything)? I felt like I could pull off wearing the grey ones on weekends but maybe I'm wrong?

Also, let me know if you think these are a no-go and if so, what about them should I avoid?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Choose neither, they're rank.

Brogues/half brogues etc. are really big in London. I've got this pair myself:

To preempt your question, yes, they are incredible. I've never owned a pair of BRs but let me know how they hold up - I'd like a pair to wear in grimy clubs etc.

if you like it then you shoulda put a banana on it

From a girls perspective, these are really nice, but it's a shame they don't do them in a brown. The OP's pair, I'm not so sold on.

Yes, to get brown Church's brogues I think you have to put in a hundred or so addl £ to get a step up from the City line (Classic line) - hard to justify in a 'no brown in town' kind of city but maybe someday...

Aimez any further general dressing tips for us brutes - maybe some recent favourite designers that girls like to see on guys, any definite no-no's etc? Always love to hear some advice from the fairer and far smarter sex.

second brogues. . . best if on derbys (or blutchers). Balmoors are harder to wear casually. However, few people will know the difference.

Those BR shoes look nice . . . lighter shades, brogues on the toe (helps prevent portraying an overly serious demeanour). . . appearance wise if they fit with your casual outfits go for it. Personally, the brown and black version look more interchangeable than the sand color.

Also suede can be more difficult to take care of than regular leather, but it`ll fit right in with a more laid back, warm weather climate.

Thanks for not posting square toes. you`ll just look like a square ;) Tell us what you end up choosing!
