Skincare Routine

So my skincare routine is as below and has worked fairly well. Just wanted to share/see what you all are doing.

Morning:

- Face Wash / Sunscreen / Moisturizer

- Green Tea / Caffeine serum (game changer for dark skin around eyes / bags)

Night:

- Niacinamide Face Wash

- Retinol serum 4-5x a week

- Lactic acid serum for exfoliating 1x a week

- Peptide Serum 2x a week (see below / has been a game changer)

- Snail mucin + moisturizer after the serums every night

That's pretty much it. I use benzoyl peroxide over night if I need spot treatment for acne. I also just try to drink a ton of water / green tea daily and do cardio a few times a week alongside my workouts

Someone else can post the Bateman routine. I just wash with cool water in the morning and moisturize + apply sunscreen. At night I'll use a cleanser and exfoliate twice a week. I use retinol nightly and use SK-II after I shave ~every other day. Other thing that helped me was switching to a safety razor which I always thought seemed so try-hard but it helped get rid of razor burn completely for me.

Tbh my ex girlfriend was into it and I started using her stuff. The stuff below is the way I think about it, these are basically the foundations of a good skincare routine IMO.

Daily moisturizing/sunscreen protection

Gentle daily high quality face wash to clean the oil/dirt from your skin

Some mix of brightening/nourishing skincare serums most of the week

1x exfoliant per week

Hydration/Exercise is obvious

Lol my ex girlfriend also put me on my skincare routine. Thank god woman get into this type of thing so I don't have to do any research.

Morning: Facial Cleanser, Moisturizer

Evening: Facial Cleanser, Moisturizer, Anti-Redness night cream (I get naturally red skin)

Honestly it's simple but effective...my skin feels great and my pores are clean and my redness has gone down substantially

Wouldn’t recommend doing nia. at night, switch it out for a La Roche posay cleanser and get an nia. serum for the day. See if you can tolerate prescription grade Tretinoin instead of retinol serum at night, absolute gamechanger. Love the snail mucin!

Yeah, otc retinol is converted to essentially tretinoin which lowers it’s effectiveness and makes it comparably weaker. So as tretinoin needs no conversion, it’s way stronger which can be tough in the beginning if ur skin isn’t used to the amount/strength. But if ur already a regular retinol user, it shouldn’t be that much of a problem. You should do it once per week initially and then gradually increase frequency of use. It’s insanely effective and is the most effective anti-aging tool apart from maybe botox. Just keep in mind: Never mix 2 retinol products, it’s either Tretinoin or Retinol. And always wear sunscreen, ideally spf 50

Genetics, skincare routine discipline, and diet. The latter 2 you have control and direction over. The former, not so much. If you're upset with your genetics , go to a dermatologist than getting angry on the internet

That’s a solid men’s skincare routine — well-balanced with actives and hydration. The mix of retinol, niacinamide, and peptides covers all bases for repair and anti-aging. Consistency and hydration definitely make a big difference! Adding a gentle exfoliator once in a while can also help keep the skin smooth and clear.
