Slipping with leather dress shoes...

Have any of you have this problem on slick floors? I've slipped twice (fell on my butt) and thoroughly embarrassed myself..

One each on Cole haan and Johnston Murphy... kinda feel id have the same problem with AE and any other leather sole shoe...

how do you manage to grip? I typically wear sperries (not the original, these ones have decent grip), and indoor soccer shoes, and both grip much better obviously.

When I get new shoes with leather soles, I take a serrated knife and cut/scrape length and width-wise to give them texture to grip.

You can get dress shoes with soles that provide better traction than leather. Allen Edmonds has dainite and vibrum sole options for most of their shoes.
