@StJamesPark: That 45mm Hamilton reminds me of an IWC Portuguese with a black dial that Kevin Spacey (Sam) wore on Margin Call. Sort of a less expensive version.
For what it's worth, I wouldn't go for either of those watches. I like clean, not sterile, dials. I personally would not look twice at either of those, but that is purely a matter of preference.
You seem pretty set on Hamilton and I'm wondering why. Considering the Portuguese is a bit out of my price range, were I to get a watch in this vein I'd get a Stowa 1938 Chronograph. Absolutely gorgeous, although at least twice as much as what you're looking at here.

...
hamilton is a solid, classic brand. A lot of the analysts here wear tissot or hamilton.
@ilikecake: Thanks for the input. Just want to make sure I'm not too ostentatious.
you will be if you keep using that word in real life.
lol.
That might be a little too casual
How about this one?

I like that
I've had my eye on this one for a long time. 45mm would be pretty blingy for a work watch though.

How about Tissot with black leather / white dial?
@StJamesPark: Here's a less expensive Hamilton with a simple white dial - looks somewhat sophisticated enough for work. http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Valiant-Silver-Leather-H39515754/dp/B007NWVGXS/ref=sr_1_9?s=watches&ie=UTF8&qid=1392162211&sr=1-9&keywords=hamilton+men%27s+watches.
This Hamilton is decent too: http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-H38645735-Jazzmaster-Black-Watch/dp/B002C1B3F6/ref=sr_1_81?s=watches&ie=UTF8&qid=1392163057&sr=1-81&keywords=Hamilton+men%27s+watches.
