There is a guy (trader) who came from blue crest and wears nikes to work. Another guy who works in technology wears timbs time to time. The hierarchy at the bank I'm at is pretty flat. No one cares if you're VP, head of something or an analyst, as long as you know your shit, you'll be respected. It really depends on the culture of the firm. I know this would have never been allowed at Blackrock or Barclays when I was working there.
I would refrain from it. You can get away with boots in most office settings, if done right. I would lean towards a chelsea or cap toe boot. If you want a higher quality, durable boot I would lean toward a Red Wing Heritage - either the Iron Ranger or Merchant style.
Make sure your a earnings rockstar just to be on the safe side
So can you wear it to the office let's say if it it snowing on that day or raining on the day but then switch out to formal shoes?
