Vest Tier List

Looking at upgrading my own game and wanted to share thoughts on vest types and prestige with them

Analyst: Patagonia, North Face

Typical vest that doesn’t break the bank. Let’s everyone know you’re valid, but doesn’t make you come off as pompous as wearing a $1k vest as a entry level employee

As/VP: Arc’teryx, Barbour, RLX

Now that you have a bit more money and a bit more clout, you can upgrade to something that stands out a little bit more, and isn’t just your basic Finance bro fleece

Principal/MD/Partner: Moncler, Golden Goose

You’re the boss, and you want everyone to know it. Nothing like proving your authority, power, and financial superiority by dropping 10k on 8-12 vests in your rotation

But then you look like a child whose mom forced him to wear a vest. Sorry but VV is plain unprofessional imo.

An MD would not stoop down to wearing a vest. He'll wear a suit, like a real man.

Makes sense. I’ve only looked at puffers and better sweaters for Patagonia. And I’ve only scrolled through arcteryx website to look at the brand as a whole. Makes sense now that I think about the ski jacket and others aspect. Always been a Helly Hansen guy so I forgot that Patagonia and Arc were a tier apart.
