What color tie goes with navy suit?

I've got an interview coming up. I've got a navy suit and a white shirt. What color tie do I go with?

What Color Tie Should I Wear with A Navy Suit?

Picking a tie color can be quite hard given the wide variety of colors, patterns, and styles there are to choose from. However, the WSO community has come together to bring you a quick set of guidelines! Typically, any dark color such as red, blue, gray, or black would be a safe and conservative choice.

User @EnergyHOU", a sales and trading analyst, brings forward a good point about pairing colors:

EnergyHOU - Sales and Trading Analyst Pair shirt to suit, tie to shirt.

In this case, navy suit > white shirt > some lighter shade of blue tie OR darker red (not bright red)

RuhmA conservative tie in a non-navy blue/ a dark shade of red always does the trick. Discrete patterns if any.

You can see an example of this look below.
