Ebay. Really. It's fantastic.
Think about what men 40+ get for nearly every holiday: ties. Think about how often you wear ties now. And think about how many years the average tie lasts. There is a large surplus of ties, and a lot end up on ebay. Get good at identifying fakes, and you can find genuine Hermes / Ferragamo ties for ~$40.
This. Vineyard Vines ties for like 15-20 bucks.
Wil check them out!
How do you know they're not fake? Even those with over 50000 positive reviews and 99% positive feedbacks sell fake goods. I've personally experienced it buying Ralph Lauren polos. This was a couple years ago - maybe eBay started cracking down on these counterfeits...
I honestly do not care if they are fake. I've gotten a few fake items that are still pretty good quality for pennies on the dollar.
Also WC rainmaker if you know a good go to ebay seller with geniune Hermes / Ferragamo, Vineyard Vines ties pls let me know!
Interesting about the ebay, I've actually never ever in my life shopped on ebay but am willing to give it a shot. The tie bar seems to be like a hit for some people
Their wool and wool/silk ties are awesome.
Awesome thanks!

Usually in person. Pictures don't tell the whole story usually. If you stick to known brands you should be safe, but I like to feel the silk and the 'heft' of the tie.
Thanks!

I also recommend The Tie Bar. I've also had some decent success at the Brooks Brothers outlet or places like TJ Maxx or Marshall's. I'm one of those who refuse to pay more than $25-$30 for a tie.
