Where can I wear a double breasted blazer to? Is it too much of a statement nowadays?
Obviously, no one really wears it to work (Unless you're a European nobility or work in the Entertainment/Fashion industry).
So I suppose dressy casual parties or on weekends going to nice restaurants and what not.

Double-breasted jackets feel very old mannish to me. As if all you have to talk about is grand children and the money you’re lavishing on them.
When you take the time machine back to 1987 you can wear it everywhere.
Why not do it real and go back to 1887 to rock that tophat and a tail coat?

Navy with gold / silver / ivory buttons = yacht club, semi-formal events, depending on what slacks and shirt you're wearing
