Winter Coat Style (London)
Hi all,
Going to be starting an off-cycle in jan, and will be my first time working in the city in winter. What do people usually wear as their coats/layers?
From reading past threads, the consensus seems to be a thick wool coat. Not sure if that'll keep me warm though since I get cold very quickly.
And are quarter zips common as a layer?
Would also appreciate brand recs/black friday deals. Ideally want to keep it on as much of a budget as possible since I am buying almost an entirely new wardrobe.
Thanks in advance!
Quarter zip + uniqlo puffer keeps me warm. Cheap enough as well
uniqlo gilet or down jackets? ive heard downs aren't common
The uniqlo seamless down puffer on their website for £109. Gilet wouldn’t be warm enough it’s like 1 degree every day
Pretty much anything you want. Wool overcoats. Thick down parkas (Uniqlo, Canada goose, moncler etc.). Barbours with underlayers (i.e. quarter zips/sweaters).
Heck, come in an arcteryx, no one gives af lol.
Obviously if you want "classic" style, it's an overcoat.
thanks, didn't know it was that relaxed. what do you see most commonly?
Wouldn't say there's most common anything. People wear a wide variety of stuff.
Wear whatever you want.
Don't be an idiot and spend a ridiculous amount of money on something when you're an intern tho.
