Winter Jackets?

Any suggestions for winter jackets that are more business appropriate?

hate the north face / Patagonia look over or under a dress shirt or suit.

not a fan of the Canada goose Michelin man style puffy jackets either but not sure where to look.

Thoughts on the trench coat/pea coat style? Have one myself and love to use it in both casual and business situations. Obviously not going to wear it skiing but you get the point.

I'm not even sure they make coats any more but have you tried Brooks Brothers? About two years ago I bought their "quilted field coat"- at least I think that what it's called - and I love it! Its good for both office and weekend wear and will keep you really, really warm. It also has quality findings which makes it worth the money.

For all the shit CG gets for its branding and logo, they really do make warm jackets and I wore one for a long time. Mackage is also good along with Moncler if you're willing to go higher end. I personally went burberry after my canada goose as it looked good and was warm, and also was not way too pricey.

I have a black parka that goes with almost all of my formal attire from Selected Homme. It does a good job at keeping me warm, is not bulky, and doesn't distract from the actual outfit.

"Best winter jacket always depends upon the need and conditions where one is heading towards like for snow & rainy condition one should go for good rain or snow proof jackets, for only colder conditions one should go for a good warm jacket but if someone is going for a trek in the mountains for a few days highly recommended to get the light down or padded jackets which can be compact and take very less space in your backpack and likewise best winter jackets are depended upon the needs.
