Wrinkled Pants
I got a few pairs of slacks from J Crew the other day. I really like the way the pants look and fit, and they were having a great sale, but I've noticed that as I sit at my desk all day the wrinkle really bad behind my knees and around my crotch. Anyone else have this problem or have a fix?
Yeah, some pants are worse than others. I have found that permanent crease pants are generally less prone to behind-the-knee wrinkles. Regarding the crotch wrinkles, try sitting with a wider stance and slightly pulling your pants up as you sit down.
In my experience, linen and cotton are worse than wool and cotton blends. I have a pair slacks from Kenneth Cole (yeah, I am in a satellite office with no dress code) that I could sleep in without wrinkling.
Starch. It will at least delay the inevitable. I've found Brooks Bros Gabardine's to at least hold up better than most.
J Crew has some quality clothing (even suits), but most of their pants are shit. Their wool pants, however, are great, so I'd suggest shelling out a little more for those.

J Crew pants are the worst in that regard--by lunch time you look like a total dickhead with how wrinkled the knees (especially the back) are. The wrinkles come out very easily with an iron, but obviously you won't be ironing at work. Unless you work at Lumina investments or something
Currently sitting in a pair of the Bowery Pants.... no wrinkles here. You guys iron before wearing? Like Addinator said, starch might help some.
Edit: I'm confused... are these chinos or wool pants? Wool pants shouldn't be an issue..
I have both the cotton/blend ones and the wool ones; if you're wearing the cotton/blend ones expect the wrinkles b/c of the fabric, if it's the wool I'm not sure what's going on. Separately, if you're not really the J. Crew build i.e. lankier and thinner some of the fits are less forgiving than others which could also cause the excessive wrinkling.
