It's brilliant. Wafts of aged wood with a very masculine and charred undertone. Ladies love it

Edit: totally forgot about this thread, looks like it aged well. tons of awesome recs

Le Labo is expensive but has a couple gems such as Bergamotte and Thé Noir.

Also tend not to like Tom Ford, but I hear their fragrances (esp. Portofino) are top tier.

pretty sure its only common in finance circles. I have never heard of someone outside finance speak about this fragnance. In addition to this, I think its common on Wall Street but relatively unknown in the City in London.

I would say Creed Aventus is very well known and common.

let me know if i’m wrong.

made new unrelated account - dont reply or message as i never use it.

Amen, Thierry Mugler (perfume for winter season) Eau sauvage, Dior (Spring perfume) Terre d'Hermès, Hermès (spring /summer perfume)

amateur in this thing but let me explain it to you this way.

perfumes are chemical mixes. you spray on your hand and molecules react differently to heat. When its very hot, the perfume changes its smell. Heavy perfumes (eg something like Dior Homme Parfum which is discontinued and its my favorite) give off even stronger smell when its hot.

Spring/Summer perfumes are supposed to give off fresh vibes that are in line with general mood over these seasons and they are not supposed to suffocate you. You can use one perfume all year around but odds are it will smell differently when the weather changes or it may not fit.

i hope that makes sense. if it doesnt please explain it better

baie is great by le labo too- I alternate between the noir and baie. baie is a little lighter/ better for daytime or summer use and the noir is great for nights out

Got a couple I can recommend however these are on the pricier side also known as niche fragrances.

  1. Xerjoff (Italian brand, they make the most amazing scents with nuclear longevity and projection)
  2. Amouage (Middle-Eastern brand, they also make amazing stuff, my two favourites are reflection man and Jubilation 25 that one is a fragrance fit for an emperor)
  3. Creed has nice ones can find lots of info on it everywhere
  4. Tom Ford same as creed pretty popular

In terms of designers I have 4 winter must haves that are god tier imo and I get a huge amount of compliments with these.

  1. Armani Code Absolu
  2. Valentino Uomo Intense
  3. YSL La Nuit de L’Homme (my personal signature scent)
  4. Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb Extreme

I’m a fragrance enthusiast and have a huge collection (these were just my winter must have recommendations) let me know if you have any more questions I am a huge nerd with this stuff lol.
