Button To PM User
Hi,
I hope I can explain this properly, but in each post, toward the bottom left corner of the post there's a button to reply, forward, and quote. I was wondering how possible it may be to add a button to PM the user. I don't want to sound like a prima donna, but it would make things slightly easier if we added that. Otherwise, the current system isn't too bad, just a little bit less convenient.
time for a UX a/b test! this would be a cool feature, might be a good addition while the site is going through a redesign and development phase anyway

We can put it right under monkey shits and silver bananas, have the option to, "tell user he's an idiot" or "bug user for a job" ;)
ok, this button has been added...unfortunately the user will still have to type in the username they want to PM....but at least it's a reminder that this feature exists. Will try to get it so the button passes the username automatically to the "TO" field.
When is the IPhone app for WSO coming out ?
I haven't pulled the trigger on this yet ...partly because I'm not sure if we should do blackbeery, android or iphone first, partly because I'm not sure what I'd like the app to have / how sophisticated it shoudl be.
It would be pretty easy to set up an app just to read various rss feeds from around the site, but based on my preliminary research, anything that involves logging in, comments, etc. seems a bit more of a headache. What would you like to see in the app?
I would honestly be fine with just being able to click on top weekly/daily threads and read. Just making the thread posts more viewable on an IPhone would be awesome.
