Home page error message: Access Denied

Hey guys,

I seem to be having issues when trying to view the home page. I get an error message that reads “Access Denied- Sorry, you don’t have access to this area of Wall Street Oasis.”

I have cleared my web history, cookies, and DNS cache. Still getting the same error.

Any suggestions?

I have Windows 7 and using Internet Explorer 8. I get this issue when I am logged in. The issue started about 2 weeks ago and never had a problem before. Even if I'm not logged in, I still can’t get to the home page. It stays stuck on the window asking for name/email. When I click "skip", it just reloads the same window. Hope that helps. I'll send a screen shot over to Patrick. Thanks!

we had a sneaking suspicion is was something with our WElcome Gate (basically for new users, the first time they visit home page they get a different page that tries to get them to sign up for WSO) - this has increased our user signups, but also increased our bounce rate, so we wanted to run a test anyways since we saw an even bigger jump in user registrations due to our blur comment in threads...

If the drop in new signups isn't too dramatic and/our our bounce rate noticeably drops, we will probably do away with it...

Also the other issue that I have been having since the update is in regards to tracking my own posts. So if I try and track my posts. I click the "X new posts" link in "Track" tab. However, the thread loads but it doesn't take you to the new posts. Not an incredibly big deal or anything, but its somewhat annoying when navigating through a thread with a ton of replies.

Ditto here

I used to do Asia-Pacific PE (kind of like FoF). Now I do something else but happy to try and answer questions on that stuff.
