LA Monkeys: Ideas for where to hold a WSO meetup?

The LA social chair (Bolt) and I are trying to decide where to hold the first WSO meetup/happy hour (hopefully later this month).

Suggestions he had: Bar in Century City area (easiest access for the most people) Event time: approx 8PM-10M Not the same night as a Lakers game so people from downtown can get there more easily

Additional criteria: Not too crowded on a Wed or Thur night Have a good meeting area / table / bar area that can accommodate 5-10 people + if they have a happy hour going on, good drinks, good service + if it is an all-ages place so some college students can attend as well

Dates we're shooting for: November 28th or 29th

Thoughts monkeys? Thanks!

LA Monkeys --

I hope we can all find a place and time to meet up and grab a beer! SmithHouse came highly recommended from a friend of mine who works in Century City as a good place for the meet up.

I haven't been there, but it looks promising from the website. Who's in? I know there are some LA monkeys lurking out there somewhere.

There is no designated hangouts. LA is very spread out as most of you know and it all depends. Younger bankers tend to hang out around Hollywood and Santa Monica I'd say. As far as places to go in LA:

-Santa Monica bars (Third St area) -Venice Bars -Hollywood night clubs -Beverly Hills restaurants -DT lounges/bars

Is The Standard still hot? And I would assume that the million clubs that are always popping up in Hollywood are top spots as well

Standard is always a cool lounge to kick it at for a mellow night. It's still the best place in DT.

Everyone knows Hollywood is the best place to be. You don't need to have money, you just need to a) either know people or b) be known. Clubs vary by night with the type of talent they have to offer.

Spots by nights:

Sunday Drais Mon Teddys Tues Premiere, MyStudio Wed Colony, Las Palmas, Supperclub, Drais Thurs MyStudio Fri Las Palmas, Colony Sat Guys & Dolls Colony
