search function is tedious

i discovered this last week... anyone else find the search function tedious? especially if you are using the "back" button. everyone tells the young monkeys to search for the answers to their questions and now i see why they just make new posts.

When you hit the back button it says the page has been expired. Can be a bit annoying especially when searching for a thread in particular. I thought this potentially was just on my home PC but i get the same issues at school.

i also just wanted to point out that if you create a thread you really want to save / bookmark you can now subscribe to any individual thread through RSS at the bottom of that thread. (so you'll know when someone comments or it is updated)

By the end of this week I also hope to have RSS working for individual users so people can subscribe to an RSS feed that is tied to an individual users posts. I think this will be a great way for the newbies to track some of the more experienced members on the board.

Later today we will also have installed a Feed API module which will allow me to update the home page more frequently with relevant news in Finance -- this should help keep the content on the site fresh and relevant and inspire some good debates.

I personally have had no problems with search (or with using the back button during search, although I tend to use the navigation page link at the bottom). Perhaps these users are using outdated browsers or IE? (I'm using newest version of Firefox)
