The Situation and Who We are Looking For:
We are preferably looking for a short term subtenant with the possibility of long term for the right person. One of us is moving out for 3 months (March, April, and May). We would prefer a responsible adult with a good credit score and a job in a respectable industry (Finance, Management Consulting, Academics, Sciences, etc.)
This situation is ideal for a motivated young professional (20’s or 30’s) who is looking to live in Manhattan or Brooklyn, but either hasn’t found what they are looking for yet; or, who is waiting to move into an apartment once someone else moves out.
We would also be a good fit for someone moving to New York for the first time, who is not familiar with the geography of the city’s many neighborhoods.
Who We Don’t Want:

• No Pets (including fish and birds, or anything else you can think of) • No economic instability (must be currently employed or moving here for a job you have accepted)

Apartment: • 10 Minute Walk to the 7 Train • 7 Train is 15 Minutes From Grand Central Station • 3 Bedrooms / 2 Baths • 2nd Floor of 3 Story Walk Up • Great Natural Light on Both Sides of the Apartment • All Hard Wood Floors • Oven with Stove Top • Refrigerator/Freezer • Nice Large Living Room • Off Street Parking (2 of us have vehicles) • Utilities Shared (Gas, Electric, and Cable), usually about $85-$100 per person a month
Current Tenants: Three white males (we are open to all ethnicities and faiths): • One of us is moving out for three months, and then returning to be an accountant for a major utility company. • One of us is working in Manhattan for a social service organization, and is in the interview stage of applying to medical schools. He will be moving out by May at the earliest, and by August at the latest. • One of us is a geologist for an environmental engineering firm in Brooklyn, and is staying put.
None of us smoke or do drugs of any kind, one of us completely abstains from alcohol.
Neighborhood: • Subway: 7 Line (40th and 46th Street Stations) • Busses: B24 to Williamsburg, Q39 to Long Island City, Q67 to Long Island City, and the Q32 to Manhattan • Lots of authentic ethnic food from all over the globe • Plenty of comfy Irish pubs • Very safe both during the day and at night • A 24 hour Duane Read Pharmacy • Three grocery stores • A Starbucks and two Dunkin Donuts
