Every time I comment it says “post comment failed!” Which is 1) crazy and 2) means I have now adopted the muscle memory of copying my comment so after it fails I can exit and come back to the thread and paste my comment and post it — upshot is I use this app roughly 10% as much as I used to bc that’s a bitch to do eh

Also tried posting this comment twice, failed, had to exit the app and repost. Really annoying when you’re trying to comment anonymously as well as I always am paranoid it will switch to public.
Not to mention the notification screen doesn’t even work anymore
Can’t believe I thought I was the only one lmao. This app has gone to complete shit. A bit unbelievable that I had no issues posting comments back in 2020, but six years later that function is completely broken despite literally zero improvements in any other area of the app.

My comments will also show "as deleted" after I post, then appear a few days later. Not to mention these new pop up ads are annoying af

Can you guys tell me if it's been like this for years? Months? More details... Like every time you post? In replies or just straight comments? Any issues posting threads or is it all just comments?
Me on Monday morning after not checking my email since 10am on Friday
I’m on iOS. This has been an issue for months, but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s been over a year. The degradation of the app has been a large part of why I don’t participate on WSO as much as I used to, so I’ve lost track of time. The issue appears when both replying to comments and posting an independent comment in a thread. As for posting threads, I know better not to try to post threads anymore, so I don’t know. There have been multiple instances where I’ve typed up a long comment to advise a poster / answer their question and have lost everything after the app shits itself, and so I’ve given up on long comments / posting threads.
As for other issues with the app that I’ve noticed:
I’ll also add on another issue that seems to have cropped up - the app will just randomly log you out every few days with the error message “Get user failed!” at the bottom of the screen. Also very annoying, and also has yet to be fixed.
