ehf, just to clarify, do you mean thread polls where a user starts a thread that has a poll up top and then a normal thread full of user comments below it? If so, I think that may actually be a good idea, although I don't think administration screening would be necessary nor an efficient use of WSO's time.
Sure you could have them embedded in threads (if possible) or just have the polls show up by themselves in the "polls" tab along with the site-made polls.
