Most informative and most helpful should have subcategories - for IB, trading, MSF (no clue who would win that one...), etc. There should also be many best thread categories: most thought provoking, most controversial, funniest, best political thread. The more categories the better.

Let's do this for 2010…it could be fun.

Agreed. Then we could sticky winning threads or put them in a subforum, and for user winners, maybe have a small avatar next to the name like different colored bananas. User recognition goes a long way in websites.

I think we should add Gold and Platinum nanners into the site somehow. No clue how that would work though...

I think this would be awesome...I'd nominate happypants as host/rost master since his posts tend to actually have relevancy and not just random pokemon comments... Most helpful in each category, breaking into PE has to be compbanker. Biggest troll is that guy from a month or so ago who got kicked off for bein a clown.

For trophies, we can get actual silver bananas. Shouldn't be too expensive to make silver banana trophies

2 Questions - Is there a nominating committee for the more opinionated awards catagories and what voting system are we using? Are we taking a SAG/Oscars approach? Are we doing Every User has 1 vote? Need more details as I'm interested in this.

Most Bananas and Most SBs in a year are like the "Technical" awards at the Oscars. They don't count when it really matters.

Gekko, how are you selecting the "top posters"? Bananas? SBs? Bribes made to Patrick? And are you doing a exclusion cause if a panel member is nominated to an award?

I will conceide this year to you happy, but pound for pound i take the racist comments award and will challenge your one liner crown next year.

SBs, Bananas, quality of posts,whatever.....I think everyone knows who should be on the committee, but leave it up to Patrick and ANT to make the final decision.

In addition to the panel discussing amongst themselves, ordinary users may post suggestions to the panel. Once the panel decides on the top5 for each category, everyone gets 1 vote regardless of if you are on the panel. Lets face it, being on the panel basically means you are nominated for at least 1 or 2 awards.

Can we campaign??? I want to replace Rahm's bullshit ad on the sidebar with a picture of myself.
