WSO - Quality of Posts Rapidly Declining?

Open to discussion / debate... but am I the only one who thinks the quality of posts on here are - and have been for a while - rapidly declining? All I see now is "No Return Offer - Plan?" or "Spring Week CV - Help" or "High-Target + BB + MF PE Experience - Offer Chances?" or "SA Return Rates" so on and so forth. These are being posted, and subsequently bumped, multiple times a day.

Yes, the WSO is a forum designed to help answer people's questions; but the answers to the questions being asked either a) already exist, b) Self-explanatory or c) Easily answered by a quick Google (GPT / Claude etc.) search....

Does anyone else share the same view? Or have I just reached the point in my career that the WSO is not aimed at or catered to?

Title is anonymoused for obvious reasons - but, my ailing love life aside, this is what I actually asked in the post. Plus, who are you expecting to answer the questions… other aspiring bankers etc? That makes no sense.

My point is centred more around the fact people used to - in a higher volume, anyway - ask more refined questions that fuelled greater discussion + input and, in turn, higher quality posts.

will be more serious:

I feel like, with all the information out there now, there are too many people looking for a job in IB/PE/etc. Because of this, the quality of posts are obviously lower and you will see many shit posts.

In my case, some times posts give me reassurance about positions or openings. I do not really look for key insights from anyone over here. For that I talk to alumni or other people I have networked with in the industry.

I think if you created a space where only full time bankers can interact, that would allow for the deeper conversations you are looking for

tbf i do not think once i am actually in banking i will really come onto this forum. or at least i hope so

I for one look forward to the 40th post dogging on UBS for whatever new reason...

It’s just natural. Crowd has become increasingly younger (WSO wants it this way, cause realistically the community isn’t who generates money for them, it’s kids hopping on this forum and being funneled into their courses). I am still grateful for this site though as there are so many older posts which are immensely helpful, and honestly whenever I ask something I get pretty solid answers. One great thing about finance vs tech is that advice/knowledge lasts exponentially longer whether it be about the markets, career, professionalism, etc. so I often find myself referring back to old posts on this site all the time when I want to remind myself of something.

Count WACCula:

Yes, and the reason I stopped being active on this forum. I think you're charitable in the types of posts you give as an example. I got bored by the ones you mention but also the troll content ("I pooped on my MD's desk, am I cooked?"). I'll occasionally come back here, but as far as forums go I've found Reddit much more interesting

I’m not familiar with Reddit, is there like an investment baking / PE thread?
