6 years buyside experience, total comp $950k, equity l/s. Not a good year for the fund but my picks did well and we didn't lose money
Nice. Curious -- how many YOE pre-HF, and guessing IB/PE? Also guessing this is like a lean, $5bn+ SM?
6 months out of undergrad, $1B AUM SM, $100 + $200 bonus (*.5 pro-rated).
Didn’t have an amazing year but bonus was much higher than guided. I was a bit caught off guard to say the least at the generosity. Not sure if anyone else had the same experience…
Depending on when you got your offer sounds like a “we like you and want to keep you, we saw banking pay go way up, so here some money so you don’t wonder if grass is greener.” Sounds like at least a good comp culture though.
Can you elaborate on your recruiting process into your HF out of undergrad?
