"Alpha" equity research out of Europe

Are there any shops that produce stock-picking ideas across industries based on more in-depth work? Ie, not the classic set-up covering verticals. Curious if there are any places like that in London.

“He was very responsive and prepared for the meeting. He actually read the JD, resume, and looked up linkedin which sometimes other mentors doesn't actually go over those to prepare things beforehand. I appreciate his direct comments I think it saved time and actually helped me to know exactly where to improve. I also appreciated him admitting if he doesn't know about specific HF strategy. Only thing I'd suggest for him is probably sending actionable key takeaways after the meeting because other mentors did and that was very helpful. ”

Cazenove used to have a model similar to that. However, since its acquisition by JP Morgan, I believe it changed to the more traditional structure.

Few small boutiques with senior Heads of BBs doing 50% of the work with 1 analysts. Or theanalystDOTcoDOTuk is something you might want to look at, start from there on Linkedin, you'll find plenty of small shops.
