Am I cooked for FO - HF, Deal teams

4 years experience, worked middle office (market risk) for top tier bank (JPM, GS, MS), to then taken another middle office role at a top MF in private markets.

All decent roles in their own right and comps not horrible, but middle office and feel like I'm missing chance to convert into high trajectory front office pathways.

Am I too late? Should I network, or is it pointless and is only chance of switching across going through MBA + going associate route in banking ?

Have a top class result from maths degree at a local college, and completed strong professional exams since graduating.
