Analyst at C/M/P72 in London - How to Get to New York in the Future?

Starting at a L/S equity pod in London at one of the big 3 MMs; covering TMT (mainly US names).

Is it feasible to recruit for similar roles in NYC in the future? Presume there is very little incentive to hire from outside the US. But, if it is possible to position one’s self to make the switch, any advice on the best way to go about that would be much appreciated.

I’ve heard it’s pretty damn difficult without having gone to university in the US. I was born in the UK and went to Oxford/Cambridge forreferencereference.

If you’re good you can maybe ask biz dev to re pod you into the US some years down the line.
