Honestly in your situation, there is no list to follow. I would find as many HF as I could find across the US, no matter the AUM. Then explain who you are, your goals, and why you are interested in the public markets/ their firm.
You are a freshman so any experience is great, would consider to work unpaid if no one bites on your initial outreach.
