BAAM/BXMA
Hey, does anyone have more details on how the AuM and headcount is split within BXMA formerly BAAM at Blackstone? What do they do apart from seeding HFs? Surprised to see a former college fund investor heading the unit.
They have a fund that is (was?) called BSOF that did a mix of direct investing in publics, IPOs (Aqua fund), and mezz / credit
Is that the majority of the units AuM? That looks like an odd mix of asset classes altogether.
No it used to be like $10bn of AUM 1-2 years back, not sure specifically how much now but not majority - that’s GP stakes I think. Yes it’s a weird mix of stuff
