BB Coverage -> Distressed hedge fund
Hi all, I am an incoming analyst at a coverage group of a top BB. I’ve always been interested in restructuring and distressed investing but was not able to convert any of my Rx interviews. I know a few people who gave made the transition from BB to distressed hedge funds but how common is it? Is it much harder to do given all the restructuring analysts who also want to do it and are likely better prepared? Are these funds open to non- Rx backgrounds? Would love to hear from someone with some experience going through the process and how it works.
