Best Bloomberg Functions to Know
Just graduating school and starting at a fund soon. Have some experience using Bloomberg but want to become more fluid with it before I start. What are the must know commands to know? Any non-trivial ones that are worth knowing? Thanks

MEC is terrible!
You really only need to know one: "help-help" (but don't abuse it, the Bloomberg guys are polite but I know they get annoyed - because I've done it as an analyst using it for the first few weeks).
WEIF, WIRP, WB, GLCO, and NI TOP are my go-tos.
Depends on investing strategy/asset class preference but some basic ones I use daily: TOP, WEIF, MOST, FRNT + (more security specific) GP, FA EV, YAS, DES, HDS, CN
What do you look at on your launchpad?
Mixture of different stuff... I have one screen set up to capture current positions' daily moves + news + events and another with a news feed for macro/watchlist companies, most active securities, index levels, etc.
HELP
SEAR. This basically turns bbg into a google search for whatever you type in. You can use it to find whatever function you need on the fly
